A general kick from hand during open play, typically for territory.
What to Look For
Record when a player kicks from hand in open play (not a restart, box kick, or kick to touch). Attribute to the kicker. Mark the field position where the kick was taken.
Best Practices
Track punt frequency by player — if your 10 or 15 is kicking too much or too little, it affects game flow. Look at field position to assess whether kicks are gaining territory or giving the ball away cheaply.
