Changelog2026-03-19

What's New — March 19, 2026

New Features

  • Pro Stats Mode — A new Basic/Pro toggle on the charting page unlocks advanced event tracking. In Pro mode you can record tackle assists (second tackler), enhanced carry details, and contextual events for rucks and mauls. Switch back to Basic any time for the streamlined view.

  • Statistics Glossary — A new Glossary page explains every stat the app tracks, from tries to tackle completion rate. Each definition includes a short best-practice tip so newer coaches can learn what to look for.

  • Mid-Game Stats Bar — During a live game you can now check team and player stats without leaving the charting page. A sticky stats bar shows running totals with a live clock, and tapping it opens the full stats view with a quick back-to-charting button.

  • Generic Lineup — Starting a game without a full roster? Tap "Use Generic Numbers" on the setup page to populate all 23 positions with placeholder players. You can assign real names after the game using the new post-game event editing feature.

  • Post-Game Event Editing — After a game you can now change which player is attributed to any recorded event. Useful when you chart with generic numbers and want to fill in names from film review later.

  • Roster Card Grid — The roster page now displays players as a visual card grid instead of a plain table. Easier to scan and works better on tablets.

Improvements

  • Pro Stats in Reports — CSV and PDF exports now include all Pro Stats columns (tackle assists, carry details, ruck and maul events) so your spreadsheet analysis stays complete.

  • Pro Stats in Season View — Team comparison tables, player stats, and leaderboards now show Pro Stats metrics and derived values like tackle completion rate and meters per carry.

  • Navigation Cleanup — The team switcher now sits before the main nav items for quicker access. Removed a stray team selection hint that appeared below the header on some screens.

Bug Fixes

  • Depth Chart Clipping — Player names no longer get cut off on the depth chart page.
  • Back Button — The back-to-game button from the stats page now correctly returns to the charting view instead of the home page.
  • Backup Defaults — Pro Stats settings are now included in data backups so they restore correctly.
