What's New — July 24, 2026

Three weeks of building. The big one: a brand-new Planning tab that turns the whole administrative season — compliance, fields, kit, safety, money — into one living checklist with real deadlines and a dues calculator. Around it, training sessions got a proper visual builder, fitness testing got a squad-wide entry grid, scouting reports got prep sheets, and a long list of small annoyances got fixed.

Season Planning

  • A season checklist, pre-built from best practice — The new Planning tab (in your Club menu) seeds ~60 tasks across Off-Season, Pre-Season, In-Season, and Post-Season: registration and compliance gates, coach certifications, field bookings, kit ordering lead times, safety prep, budgeting, and more — each with practical guidance notes. Youth and adult programs get the right variants automatically, and everything is editable.
  • Deadlines that do the math for you — Enter three dates (first practice, first match, season end) and every task gets a real due date — "order jerseys 10 weeks before first match" becomes an actual day on the calendar. A Due now list keeps overdue and upcoming work on top, and if your season shifts, change the dates once and every deadline recomputes.
  • A checklist that checks itself — Tasks like player dues set, registration form published, and kit issued complete themselves automatically from what you've already done elsewhere in the app, marked with a ⚡ badge and a link straight into the right page.
  • Budget & dues calculator — Build your season budget from line items seeded with typical US club cost ranges, mark big purchases (scrum machine, posts, AED) as capital to spread them over several seasons, enter your expected fundraising, and get a suggested per-player dues figure — with a one-click handoff to set it as your season fee.
  • Assign tasks to your people — Hand "book the fields" to your treasurer or "order kit" to your kit manager. Assignees see their open planning tasks right on their Home dashboard and can tick them off from there.

Training Sessions

  • A builder you can actually scan — Session blocks now collapse into compact rows, so a full plan fits on one screen; expand just the block you're editing.
  • Session timeline — A color-coded timeline strip shows how your session breaks down, with computed clock times for every block — in the editor and on the session view page.
  • Templates, one click away — Apply a session template from a dropdown right inside the builder.
  • Read-only plan view — The session list now links to a clean, read-only view of each plan — ideal for sharing or a sideline glance.

Testing Day

  • Squad entry grid — Record fitness-testing results for the whole squad in one grid: per-metric validation as you type, then one save for everything.
  • Recent activity feed — See the latest testing entries across your program at a glance.

Scouting

  • Prep sheets — Every scouting report now has a clean read-only page built for match prep.
  • Tidier reports — Note sections collapse to rows with previews so long reports stay navigable, and linking a fixture prefills the date and opponent for you.

Improvements

  • A fresh front door — The public site got a full redesign with real product screenshots.
  • Sharper look everywhere — New display typography and tabular numerals across the app, so scores and stats line up the way they should.
  • Messages on phones — Messaging now uses a proper single-pane layout on mobile.
  • Recruiting campaigns know their form — Each campaign now links to a specific signup form, and public campaign links take recruits straight to it.
  • Events polish — Cleaner calendar controls, delete confirmations where they were missing, and steadier RSVP state.
  • Always up to date — When a new version of the app ships, stale open tabs now reload themselves instead of erroring.

Bug Fixes

  • Dates no longer drift a day — Fixed an app-wide issue where date-only values (payments, birthdays, registrations) could display as the previous day in US time zones.
  • End Game saves reliably — Closed a race where finishing a game at the wrong moment could drop the final events.
  • Scouting reports with a fixture save again — Linking a fixture to a scouting report could silently block saving; the link is now applied safely.
  • Charting accuracy — Opposition ruck events stay attributed to the opposition, and the film-review page no longer overwrites fresh edits with stale state.
  • CSV round-trips — Alumni imports now match columns by header, exports quote fields properly, and several data-loss edge cases are closed.
  • A real "page not found" — Broken links now land on a helpful 404 page instead of a blank screen.
  • Practice-plan date crash — Opening a practice plan from certain calendar states no longer crashes the page.
